If I remember correctly, Sociopath is the old name for autism (not to be confused with psychopath, even though they're used interchangeably)
Goblin slayer is autism supreme.
Sociopath is a lack of empathy coupled with high intelligence and extreme selfishness. Goblin slayer as stated in the light novels is a normal man in every way. He underwent extreme trauma watching his sister, who was his guardian, be raped and tortured to death in front of him. He is a man driven to see that it never happens again.

That's psychopathy. I can't find it now, but I remember reading that Sociopath (short for social disorder) was the old name for Autism, but the two words got combined together to be the same thing by years of misuse.
But reading again now, apparently, sociopath was used as an early form of psychopath. It's just now known as Antisocial Personality Disorder, because psychopath and sociopath weren't politically correct enough.
