I can't find it now, but I remember reading that Sociopath (short for social disorder) was the old name for Autism, but the two words got combined together to be the same thing by years of misuse. But reading again now, apparently, sociopath was used as an early form of psychopath. It's just now known as Antisocial Personality Disorder, because psychopath and sociopath weren't politically correct enough.
