LOL about the coffee! My Gran was from Inverness and as a young girl she came over here legally with her parents. Visited Scotland many years ago for a whole month, its beautiful and I love the people.
I was overseas for 10 years. 9 in London and the last year was based out of Glasgow Scotland..to say I loved it is an understatement..I could never for the life of me figure out what in the hell they were saying half the time...there is no English to Scottish Dictionary..you just have to smile and nod. I have been back now since 2018..and they way things are going it may be a long time before I get to go back.. Shout out to Mount Florida G42 represent!
Great story, lucky that you got to spend so much time there. I also enjoyed all the history in so many places.
It's very different looking at America from the outside in than from the inside out.
