I don't know. The believers of intelligent design can't explain it to me in a way that makes logical sense. So I stopped asking them about it.

Some are close, sure...but those are the severe positive outliers and the offspring of two positive outliers almost always aren't an outlier and instead are closer to their average or below. How often does that happen with other human sub-species?

they are evolutionally adapted to do well in a harsh environment, being big and strong or small and agile or lean and fast are good survival strategies, they evolved in a region with a comfortable climate year round(compered to Europe) and due to the diversity of environment there is over 600 ethnicities in Africa with some of them being quite distinct, the pygmies of the amazon are a small and agile group because that is a benefit in their environment, the hadza are tall and lean as they live on a plain and hunt on foot(or at least they used to) and when we have an area where there is lots of human vs human fighting we find the men get bigger and stronger
evolution does not care if you are able to make a plane or an iphone, evolution cares about keeping you alive long enough to reproduce, white people where selected to be intelligent, resourceful, and forward thinking due to the harsh weather, because if we where not we died, slowly the selection pressure grows, we get smarter, we can make use of more land, expand, and repeat, we also got white skin and blue eyes to deal with the low levels of light, one thing to consider is that when we where splitting from where ever we started(the jury is out and we will never really know) we may very well have been living in areas of extreme latitude making the adaption even more important and useful than it is today
