why not buy some ginger and turmeric root direct and make a tea or something with it? Fresh is almost always better and a lot cheaper. I put garlic, ginger, turmeric, cilantro and parsley in my juices.
I'm looking into this. The store bought stuff also undergoes a fermentation process which might be quite difficult for me to duplicate. I've also only recently even noticed this product, so I'm not even certain it helps me yet. If you have any recipes you can share or link to, I'd love to have a look.
The juice I make is based on a kale 'juice' recipe.
It's made up of: 2-3 medium leaves of kale, 1/2-2/3 medium cucumber, 3 knuckles of turmeric, 2 or 3 thumb sized pieces of ginger, 4 or 5 lobes of garlic, some cilantro and parsley, 1 or 2 pieces of celery, a beet, a carrot, 2 apples, an orange or pineapple or pear.
I blend it all in a powerful super fast blender. It's like watery apple sauce. I used to make it without fiber in an auger juicer, but fiber is possibly one of the most important aspects to gut health.
I put it in a stainless steel vacuum thermos and drink it out of a glass jar over a few hours. It will stain just about anything.
