I have not had cable since 2012 with no regrets. I stream what I care to watch via my Roku. Selected bits from YouTube, Amazon prime, and until recently Netflix (cancelled). I have a Plex media server which contains collected and curated content. No one in the family complains or misses anything.

In all honesty, the only thing we do not get are sports and the local news broadcast. We do not care about sports and we can get selected stories of interest off the local news website.

You do not need cable.

Edit: I see another post mentions Pluto TV. I second that. There are many good older shows that predate the SJW bullshit.
