Yeah. Impeachment is the bringing of charges by the legislative branch. After that there’s a trial. The result is either exoneration or conviction.

no one ever is going to think that "this guy was convicted" means they were impeached then removed from some office. exactly zero people will respond knowing that I mean "he was remove from office". they're going to say "convicted of what?"

US Constitution - Article I - Section 3:
