As this twitter/trump thing is going on, I was considering which alternatives for established websites exist, can you suggest some?

of the top of my head I can think of the following

  • Facebook: Parler, Mastodon
  • Twitter: GAB, Parler
  • Reddit: poal.co
  • Youtube, Vimeo: Bitchute, Newtube.app, Lbry.io
  • Google search: Duckduckgo, YACY
  • Gmail/Outlook: cock.li, Protonmail
  • Google Analytics: Matomo
  • Github: gitgud.io

I am a bit short on hosting services and other services, any suggestions?

If you are technically literate at all, you should look into self-hosting as much as possible.

Obviously this does not work for social networks and web indexing, but pretty much everything else you can run yourself.

Email, git web interface, password managers, private file hosting, online hard drives, web editable documents and spreadsheets, calendars and planners, you name it. Most things exist as prepackaged software. It just takes a bit of work to set up. But once you do, it is yours and nobody can take it from you. You can either run it locally on a small home server (an old laptop would work just fine to get started) or any of the many cheap VPS services. Just make sure you have automatic local backups, and are able to easily set up somewhere else, especially if you go with the VPS.

Just search for whatever you want plus "self-hosting" or "self-hosted". You'll find plenty of options and guides to get started.

Also get away from Microsoft/Apple and start learning to use Linux if you haven't already. Most things are easy and slick at this point. It's not 1990 anymore. Yes, most games work too, including . If you happen to be addicted to one of the few things that don't work, just dual boot into Windows when you feel like it. It takes like 5 seconds to reboot these days. Stop being lazy you filthy degenerate. There's no excuse anymore.

Wouldn’t your ISP just shut you down? And if not that, then the banks won’t do business with you if you’re “politically incorrect”.

Sure. That's a given anyway. And the government can send their mercenaries to drag you away in the night. What of it?

The point here is to deprive big tech globocorps of your business, and therefore the data they use to track you, and therefore their ability to easily find and damage you. Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, etc cannot track you or ban you if you do not use their services.

Does it solve all the world's problems? No. But it's a step in the right direction.

Agreed. Seems to me it would be good to build something from the ground up, starting with a banking outfit or whatever.

I am not certain how much longer Parler may be a viable option but I do keep these around. For secure direct messaging I use Wickr Me; there is also a full-feature web application of Wickr for collaboration as a Skype/Teams/Zoom alternative.

Rumble is up-and-coming as a decent jewtube replacement; although I would say it still needs some refinement.

For jewgle and outlook; I use outlook for work as that's the platform they default to. for personal mail moving beyond gmail, there is mailfence, and I also use for personal email as well as my business Hushmail; but as things turn more and more totalitarian in parts of the EU, I may scrap hushmail altogether.
