How do you make the perfect pot of coffee? I have found that the very first cup of coffee out of a pot is magic - assuming you get it right when it brews and then let the rest of the pot brew. How do you get the whole pot like that?

Try a French press. Pour a cup, put the rest in a thermos. Reheating will kill it no matter how its made.

I love an old-fashioned French press, too! Love it! So far as electric goes, nothing beats a Percolator. Yeah, I'm an oldfashionedFag. :)

I owned a coffee shop and ran a percolator as my defacto drip coffee, very popular. Don't mess with things that aren't broke.
