Look, we all know that the voat canary was dead. This is a fact. So, this means that the feds were actively monitoring the site and the admins weren’t able to talk about it. In none of the crazy conspiracy theories that I have read around here has anyone ever stated the the blatantly obvious: the site was shut down to protect people from getting party vanned by feds. He couldn’t easily shut it down before because it would have been a violation of the Angel investor’s contract with the site. However, once the Angel investor breached the funding contract, puttitout was finally free to take action to protect the members. The admin couldn’t come out and say this because it would draw the ire of the feds to admit to doing such.
