They're making a spectacle of the arrests and job losses of the protestors, mostly as a public example of shaming and excommunication, but it won't stop once that story has fallen out of the news. They'll be going by a finer and finer grain with time, combing through everything. More than likely, the way it will play out is that any past data Google has collected on you (where you displayed wrongthink) is currently being kept in their databases like bullets with your name on them, so that in the future should you ever present any kind of difficulty for someone (i.e. you step out of line), they'll have your bullet chambered. Look what this terrorist said once! Boom. Done. Job: gone. Credit line: revoked. Bank account: closed. Nobody even really has a clue how scary it will get...for a taste, imagine this happened to you a year from today. You are hung out to dry. You can't earn money, and you're effectively homeless. Will you be able to turn to your family for help? Let's say you go to your sibling for a room to sleep in temporarily, and also that your sibling has kids. They'll have to think about whether even showing the public that they're gracious to you (the new Salem Witch) will suddenly infect them with the bad juju. Maybe your sibling's employers will see it as a liability and fire them for even associating with a terrorist. So your own sibling turns you back onto the street. Shit's gonna get bad, guys. And what's really comforting to know is that you've spent the last five years saying the most heinous possible shit on the internet. Oh, but you're safe, right? This was all anonymous, right? Incidentally, I have a strong feeling that this latest protest won't be sufficient fuel. I think you'll see a worse event coming, possibly this year: some kind of false flag that will really accelerate this.
