They'll want enough time to fully cultivate it as a get out the vote issue for the midterm elections. Maybe they'll do some gun control like 180 days from now, but then 45 days before the 2022 election they'll have a shooting so they can be like "See? Gun control was the right thing and actually we didn't go far enough!"

But why bother? Their vote fraud machine is in full operation, no need to worry about how the people actually vote, they will get the results they want anyway without the effort of actually getting their people to the polls.
