That's something I never thought of personally.

Personally, I'd change high school and get rid of algebra and trigonometry and other classes we don't use in lieu of teaching students how to network for their careers, file taxes, find jobs, and giving more trades to choose from, like LPN, Medical Assistant, Welder, Painter, and even Barber. It gets kids out of college so we can decrease college's sphere of influence over the American mind, buying my assistants and I more time to brainstorm ideas and implement them to purge universities of their current problems.

get rid of algebra and trigonometry

This is vital in many trades. I work in forestry, and a clear understanding of basic math is extremely important. If all the fat was cut from the social justice curriculum and we taught didactically again, algebra and basic trig would be taught in middle school.

I would abolish it on anything above the county level and ban federal funding. I would ban any form of curriculum based on Bloom's taxonomies / higher order thinking skills / any of the Frankfort School's kikery.

I would teach reading (students would read history), grammar, logic, civics, and didactic math (none of this common core how do you feel about the answer shit). The sciences would be mixed in later.

There would be minimal homework. There would be no gay grading on the curve. And teachers would be allowed to whip their students.

Shut down my own department, and go back to the system we had before there ever was a Department of Education, make the States decide their own education program, take it out of the hands of the federals. I'd start with that.

Schools should be segregated, by acheivement. The top 10% of students should attend the honor school and their teachers should be those that have tested within the top 10% of their subjects. The next tier would be those in the 80 to 90 percentile range. again their teachers should also test within that range. Anyone below 80 should be taught life skills. Their teachers are going to basically be nothing more than babysitters. Children should be elevated or demoted to their respective tier based on their performance. Life is competitive, schools should be as well.

Yeah, kids can't concentrate on learning for a full school day anyway, so most of their time is spent in mentally undemanding activities. Schools are glorified childminding facilities. A few hours real solid learning a day would be enough, and there's no reason children couldn't do some real work at other times in the day.
