You don't have movies like that where there is no clear political agenda and the left is made to look like loonies in the end. They would have to do a woke remake where the bumbling conservative president doesn't take it serious and the sjw transgender scientist is the one to figure out sound works as a weapon against them.

I know your just making a joke, but I fucking hated this movie. Intentioally made "bad" movies like this and Sharknado feel so pointless. Also, the 90s CGI has aged pretty poorly.
