The President is a leader of people that is true. However, it is the people that have to be the change they want to see in the world. Reminds me of a story I heard a long time ago. There once was a man who had great dreams and visions of what was wrong in the world. He spent his entire life telling people what was wrong and how they needed to change what they were doing. He would tell his family about their flaws and that they needed to change. They never listened. He spoke to people in his community about the problems and how they needed to change. They too never listened. As he got older and closer to the end of his time he began to realize something. If only had demonstrated the change he wanted to see through himself first. He could have influenced his family through those actions. Which could have influenced his community, which in turn could have changed the world. Often times we as humans approach problem solving backwards. The reality is we need to be the change we want to see first. Through those examples we can have much more meaningful impact on the world we live in. As disfunctional as our little community is here on the internet, we have a lot of potential. There is going to be trials and tribulations for sure. However, we can support each other. The world doesn't end today. There will always be opportunity even in the darkest hours. Take this time in, own it, make it into something that you yourself can use to influence the change you want to see.
