Not to be paranoid, but it seems that the name can be interpreted as the biblical hebrew word (en.wiktionary.org) po'al which means 'action', 'work' and similar things.

I expect it is a play on VOAT and /pol/

Now that you mention it, really sounds like /pol/ pronounced in English.

why do i feel like the tab icon symbol (the blue arm and head) is a hebrew symbol
