Just write a basic index.html document containing nothing but your links. Then you load the file from your local hard drive in your browser. Instant custom bookmark page.
How many bookmarks do you have?
I'm not sure what you mean, but it's probably not your bookmarks that slow down your browser. Which browser do you use?
pale moon
I have thousands of bookmarks in firefox without problem. Maybe it's a bug in palemoon. I would recommend switching anyways. Palemoon cant really keep up in terms of performance and security compared to Chromium, Firefox, Opera etc.
switch to (((FireFox)))
No.
Palemoon can't...
Has better performance than all 3 (((browsers))) you listed when it comes to not being run by a kiked company.
If you know how to parse text in a scripting language it would be fairly easy. You would just take the URL and link name for each entry and output them as separate .URL files, using the link name as the outputted filename and the address as the content of the file.
The .URL file format is very simple and can be viewed in any text editor. It might look confusing but you can actually just paste a URL into a plain text file by itself and then save it with the ".url" extension and it will work.
