If pic8 goes down for whatever reason, Poal will be devoid of most multimedia content, no? There's still a single point of failure because no matter how many sites host the image, you're the gatekeeper to those links.
Shouldn't the option be to backup content instead of it being "no, don't back it up".
So if users don't put all their eggs in one basket, Pic8 won't be in a rush to upgrade?
There's always a SPF when it comes to a website with domain name.
The way to mitigate the risk is to use a decentralized DNS registrar. but, the nature of the traditional DNS system implies a SPF.
Not a bad idea to have an option to just backup the image to pic8, but serve the original image link. Feel free to post that suggestion in
