If you only drive to work and the nail salon, why would you care about gas mileage? It's not like long haul trucking.
Surely you can imagine people driving to grocery stores, the mall, to see family in another state, to McDonald's, to the airport, to the movies, to the park, to the fema camps.....
You're the one who posited only driving to work or the nail salon. I was merely pointing out the flaw in your statement. If your driving is limited you care less about mileage, not more.
I only felt like posting two examples of how an SUV is being used for casual transportation and not utilizing it's full capabilities as an off road vehicle, thus being that it's a gross misuse of resources when a simple town car with better gas mileage can do the same thing.
Sorry, next time I'll be sure to post an itemized list of generic locations that an average woman would travel to by vehicle.
