Voat comments were gold. Usually packed with info and side info. You're right, seems quieter here, maybe we're not used to being nice and just lurking.
The length of comments on poal are really, really short compared to Voat. Discussions don't seem to go as deep before it veers off into humor.
The longest posts are people crying about other users, or the downvote system. You'll get a firey thread full of info and back-and-forth with that shit.
But the Nashville bombing? Barely a fucking PEEP on Poal. Goats would have dug into all kinds of info about it, and gotten most of the good stuff highly visible in a quick fashion.
Yeah I was wondering about that. Even Aether had a few posts on Nashville.
Users are too busy jerking each other off and crying about various policies to bother with things like "obviously sketchy 'bombings' on Christmas Morning".
The users of Poal have more important things to talk about, such as: "Welcome Voat refugees" or "Downvoting is bad" or "we have an algorithm". The really hard-hitting, important stuff in single sentences.
