It doesn't really look like a scam, but investing in start-ups is incredibly risky. Something like 1 in 25 or 1 in 100 make it.
In what sense? He is a legitimate business man. Your question may be, should I invest in his business. I would not. There are rumors he may be jewish (I can not confirm). Since he is very wealthy, He probably has ties to the kleptocracy and thus to the same cabal ramming the tyranny down our throats. Also, being Canadian, he may also believe in similar liberal nonsense as Trudeau. Although, he has slammed Trudeau a few times.
Money is my military, each dollar a soldier. I never send my money into battle unprepared and undefended. I send it to conquer and take currency prisoner and bring it back to me.
Here he makes it clear he's most concerned about money. I've not heard anyone speak of him in an empathetic manner. He's likely not concerned about making money for anyone other than himself.
O'Leary was fired by Mattel after the acquisition resulted in significant losses and multiple shareholder lawsuits. O'Leary Ventures was a failed investment firm loosing lots of money. He also seems to dabble in many things, not focusing on anything in particular. This new venture is just one more venture in his portfolio where he uses his name.
