help me out here. I am trying to make sure I can survive if things get bad.

also, i'm thinking of switching to satellite internet. which actually won't be too expensive but it seems like a good point to make.

Don't waste my money, load up my freezer. I'm late in the game. This is not advice. It's a lazy comment.

Load up my freezer? You're the self-proclaimed expert and you're telling me to load up my freezer. So much is wrong with that. For one, in a survival situation rice and beans trumps freezer meet. It's cheaper, denser, can survive outside of a freezer (like if the power goes out and I don't "waste my money" on a generator). I could go on and on and on but I won't. You got 4 points for this comment but it's not a good comment.

Ok, here i go. Why have you waited until now, what have you been doing for the past 3 years? Fuel storage for generator? Rice and beans are great, protein for at least a month is necessary! Electricity is a luxury not a requirement you should have had a plan for this! Shelter, Water, food and Defensive Weapons/ Hunting Tools are Required everything else luxury. You can have all the Luxury items you want but without Survival skills you are fucked anyway. Most believe their house is their security, well its false security, one fire and all your supplies are gone! You need to learn to be proactive and you should be fine. Skill set over stockpiling supplies. Good luck but... your Late in the game, good news its never too late to learn.
