One thing you should keep in mind is that no one source is going to tell you everything, and even if they did, they'd probably get a number of things wrong. You need to crowdsource your information from a number of different people who may each contribute some pieces of the truth.
Beware of getting stuck in "limited hangouts"-- people who will tell the truth on some things to draw you in, but then they will keep you in a bubble instead of pushing you to dig further. For example, James Corbett did a good video on how 9/11 had a lot of "exercises" happening at the same time to confuse people and prevent an adequate response... but then he won't go further in talking about how the buildings were controlled demolitions instead of falling from plane strikes, he won't talk about the 5 dancing Israeli spies who planned the event, etc. His info is useful, but sometimes you need to dig deeper and consult other sources to find out the whole truth.
Sometimes hangouts will also intentionally push you toward theories that are utter BS as well. This serves to de-legitimize anything you hear from them because it's from "that crazy guy". For example, Alex Jones has some great info but then he goes off about "interdimensional demons" and you think maybe everything he says is BS. Or if you try to find out what's really going on with space agencies like NASA, you run into all these flat earthers and any doubt over things like the moon landing gets labeled as "flat earth nonsense".
TL;DR be wary and always dig further
