Of course they blame the China virus but what's really going on?

The official narrative makes no sense.

They blame people using more debit and credit cards but if that's true it wouldn't be sucking up change.

They blame banks not distributing coins properly and that makes no sense either. Why now?

Copper is still used in modern day coin production. The bigger difference people notice is that pennies are not solid copper anymore. & Clad coins. I forget what it is really look this up you'll find it: the modern-day nickel cost the mint something like eight cents to make due to its copper content.
