I like poal and the no downvote button but I could see It leading to people just blocking people aka their own little censorship kingdom. That is fine but there where goats on voat that I really disagreed with but every now and then they would post something really profound or insightful so I was glad I didn't block them?

Is that what happens here or am I missing something

Been here over a year, haven't banned anyone. It might change if I get sick of the refugees bitching and shitposting ad nauseam, but I don't think so. Heretofor the quality of interaction has generally been higher, both informational density and politeness. Poal is far less suited for an echo chamber than voat was.

I think the block option will primarily be used by those who misused downvote brigades to silence people, as they liked the echo-chamber quality of voat.

Nah. You are over thinking this. I am blocking known Niggerjewfaggot shills that are simply here to shit in the pool and/or flood the subs with old/off topic posts to interrupt free discussion of current events.
