If you get a beard you'll have to keep it trimmed to look nice, and maybe even oil it. A nice looking beard takes maintenance.

When i see a dude with a well maintained oiled beard i assume he is using it as a crutch, as his sole masculine feature. Scrubby beards are pathetic. Highly maintained beards are gay as fuck.

You have a point. Despite my earlier advice, I wouldn't like someone who more than minimally maintains their beard because they're probably high-maintenance.
