I'm all for a voting system, but if those votes have consequences, then I agree voting should be regulated to avoid large groups forcing their viewpoints on others. Also, if votes come with consequences besides that of people seeing your vote counts then I wouldn't call it speech.

It's not a matter of brigades. It's a matter of individual voting behavior.

When in Alpha? It didn't really start until after the second big migration (the first being FPH). Was it r/Coontown or something?

Before then downvotes were exceedingly rare. They weren't used for disagreement at all. They indicated spam, illegal content or truly off topic posts and comments.

Then large numbers of people came from reddit and brought their reddit voting behaviors with them.

Which couldn't be more than a few DV before it turned off your ability to do such.

So you're wrong. It didn't happen. Voat had a pretty advanced ruleset to check against to prevent such DV kikery.

That is so incredibly wrong. I had a near 1:1 DV:UV ratio for all 6 years I had been there.

Then large numbers of people came from reddit and brought their reddit voting behaviors with them.

Not reddit behavior. It's human behavior to silence subversive (((opinions))).

No one wants to hear about your ebin baste nigger. There are none. No niggers are acceptable in once White nations. No jews are good jews, none. The holocaust didn't happen. jewflu doesn't exist. Trump is a jewish puppet. etc. I shouldn't have to reply to such comments to show the (((user))) posting such kikery the way out. I shouldn't. No one should. I shouldn't have to post a reply to show other users what's correct. Thos things are as common knowledge as water being wet is.

This argument and the fact that it's been argued SO FUCKING MUCH just today is exceptionally questionable, obviously subversive and malicious in intent.

I'm not going to defend Poal because their position is clearly retarded. But you need to face that you are arguing for a heckler's veto (which is more than simply speaking in disagreement to another), not for speech. If you disagree and made a comment, it would have no effect besides speaking in opposition to speech you disliked.

If you'll remember, this very issue is a major reason they set up Poal and left Voat to begin with. I made an account here then and then stayed on Voat, since this places censors too much.

As an aside, my UV/DV was around 10:1, so I wonder about your voting habits or at least note that you may just really be a lot more misanthropic than I (which is cool, too, I guess). In any case, your voting habits were far from typical in early 2015 even if you failed to notice it.

(((your))) timeline doesn't' add up.

You claimed it happened in the alpha days. The account is 2y old.
