Do you only use it to get someone's attention when parked and waiting to pick them up or do you also use it to signal to other drivers that they did something unacceptable in traffic such as cutting you off? Do you get out of your car for every traffic annoyance and go over and talk to the other driver or do you just indicate your dislike of their driving via the horn or flipping them the bird? Think about how you use your car's horn and figure out if it matches with what you think the downvote button is for.

The downvote button is specifically to censor someone's ideas. It's ok to censor spam, or off topic because it wastes peoples time. Just because you disagree with an idea doesn't mean "ergo it's spam". Look, I disagree strongly with refugees like yourself trying to come into our home and change our culture. Notice that I didn't downvote you though.
