On voat there was a problem with extra salty users. At a certain point you could have so many upvotes that you could spam downvotes for 5k posts straight and your ratio wouldn’t even break even. I think on voat I had like 8k posts upvoted and 1000 downvoted or something. Anyways, some people would get extra mad at you if you attacked a sacred cow of theirs like trump (especially before the election shit) or Christianity and they would literally keep your post history opened in a second window and refresh it once every few hours and just downvote spam your entire history. Somebody did this to me for 5 days straight and I know of people who had it done by 2 people or just one guy on 2 devices permanently for months. Just every comment started with 0,-2. It was gay as fuck.
