I'm sure you can come up with some case where, in theory, this site would go to shit without a downvote feature. But in practice, why isn't the site already shit with this feature not bring used the way you want?
We've been in existence for two and a half years and many types of shills have tried us.
I have no intentions of changing how this site operates (not like I could even if I wanted to) I'm just sharing my opinion on downvotes.
I never even implied that this site would go to shit without downvote features, and I really dont care about about the suspicious behavior tag...seeing as how this is just a website. All I'm saying is downvotes have their use, and I disagree with the methods of how this site discourages using the tool.
Why not only have upvotes then? And as you said moderators can go and block the people that should be getting downvotes. I just dont see the point of having the feature and then telling people when and how they can use that feature.

That's a fair question and a fair point. The admins here have an Epicurean bent, but it seems to work out nonetheless.
Dont get me wrong, I'm grateful this site exists, as there really is no where else that allows this much free speech. So I got no room to bitch
