You missed the point completely. There is no need to for everyone who visits the site to see every post. If poal grows like I hope it will there will need to be some kind of filtering of posts. That's how and why every other site on the internet allows downvoting. It filters the trash. Right now poal is tiny and it does not matter. Imaging if poal was the size and popularity of reddit? Not enough hours in the day to look at everything.

No matter how many people are members, the upvotes will place the majority opinion at the top. If there are 10 million members and the top thread is something that you don't like then it is probably you who is the outcast.
