Sure. I had just got out of the Army, and had a temp job putting in high speed data networks networks in businesses. This would have been early to mid 90's. We were working nights so not to interfere with their work, and had just finished pulling cat 5 to all the locations and we were going around putting jacks on, testing, and then putting face plates on. One of mine was at a table right out side of an office, and when I got there a guy was working at the desk inside the office. We nodded at each other when I looked in. I thought it was odd he would be working that late because it was around 4AM. Then I got on my hands and knees to work on the jack. I had to literally get across the doorway to reach what I was working on, and for the 10-15 minutes or so it took to finish this I had glanced in the office several times at the guy working there. When I was done, I went to tell him I was finished there and sorry if I disturbed his work, and the office was empty. The only way he could have gotten out was to climb over me and my equipment. So I did the only sensible thing you could do in that situation... I packed up my stuff, went upstairs and told the guy I was working with "Pack your shit up. We're getting the fuck out of here". What actually happened is he took me to Waffle House and got me calmed down enough to finish the job. A little later working in the executive suites I saw his picture and said that was the guy I saw in the office. One of the owners said he was a VP that had died about 6 months prior, and other people had seen him too. Seems like he was just dropping by every now and then to see how things were going. We got a nice bonus from him to not say anything about it to their other employees.
