So is this something Poal is pushing?

Or is it from Captcha? If it's from Captcha, then Poal needs a new verification system.

And if it's from Poal, then there's serious bullshit afoot.

EDIT: To clarify, I know how to set up a VPN. And my VPN has been working pretty much flawlessly for over ten years. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this. I keep getting an ‘invalid captcha’ error when using the VPN. I found only one mention of this on the web (related to Poal) but no answers.

Also, I’m using BTGuard.

If you believe VPN services aren't blocking stuff, you are delusional.

I always laugh when people believe "their" VPN will save their ass or acting as a neutral party... I'll even bet there is more traffic sniffing going on at VPN's than your average POP. And this is because stupid people will use VPN's to access illicit sites and big brother knows what you are doing.

Faith in any 3rd party service is delusional. VPNs are generally used to protect the transmission of data on public wifi and a general concealment of shit from places that farm your data like your internet provider. Many govt services have probably breached many services. If you're using a free one then you're the product. I've noticed PIA does block stormfront myself

edit: Dailystormer? idk one of those.

Many popular VPN services used to block voat as well (depending on the location you were logged in, voat was loading as unlogged when it wasn't simply blocked)

Hmm. I wouldn’t NOT believe that, but this is the first time I’ve ever had an issue in over ten years with the same VPN.

I’m using a VPN right now without issue

No issues here either.

VPN, palemoon, scriptblocker, adblocker, privacy badger, obscure Linux distro, etc.

You're doing something wrong.

My VPN seems to be working okay passing Poal and other traffic.

(fixes nerd glasses)

PIA works perfectly, so does NordVPN. I've used many VPNs on poal without issue.

I see this is flared "Answered" but find no answers in the comments. Voat had a similar issue about a year ago. This site requires cookies and your VPN blocks those because cookies leave a trail of crumbs that can expose you. Your choices are to either change your settings to allow cookies or be a lurker who can neither comment nor post. If anyone reading this believes there's another answer or that I'm mistaken, please comment below as I would love to enjoy a truly anonymous Poal.

VPN's are for viewing content blocked in your country. They are not for security or privacy.
I hope that clears things up for you.

Say what you mean and mean what you say, soldier

Check MXtoolBox. I use a vpn too and archive sites drop my traffic... Yes my vpn exit IP is on a blacklist.

https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist

BTW - I have no issues on Poal.
