Is suicide permissible if only certain types of people do it? Does it not matter who does it, it's always fine morally? Is it always immoral no matter the situation?

Edit: I'm not suicidal at all, just wondering how you all view the subject from a moral standpoint.

Suicide being immoral is a complete judeo-christian thing. It was considered your duty to kill yourself if you fucked up badly in some ancient white cultures and still kind of is today in East Asian ones.

You're right, and it's been the norm for a couple millennia. Morality and religion aside, it's still a shitty thing to do in many cases.
