Is suicide permissible if only certain types of people do it? Does it not matter who does it, it's always fine morally? Is it always immoral no matter the situation?

Edit: I'm not suicidal at all, just wondering how you all view the subject from a moral standpoint.

It depends on the reason for doing it. Suicide to avoid dishonor is morally acceptable (you can see examples of this with people like Socrates, various ancient Romans and nips who followed the Bushido code).

If you suicide out of simple embarrassment or weakness, then it is wrong morally, but society is probably better for it anyway.
