I don't think it will get terminated. Without it, social media and Youtube wouldn't be able to operate. Even with censors stuff would slip through the cracks. Plus, there is way too much money involved. I'm sure Google and Facebook have more than enough to bribe politicians to play ball. Basically, terminating 230 would create Communist China levels of censorship. We would probably have to resort to posting on the deep web.
If you read Trumps announcement just now, that's exactly what he wants to do.
I think Pres. Trump frequently says things to stir the pot, make people take strong sides, and actually force the topic to be discussed and people to research.
I think so too, but the US may null it to allow Faceberg, Google and the other tech giants to ""Compete"" against china tech companies, who are presently killing us in that domain.
Dude says crazy shit all the time. Trump is far more extreme in rhetoric than he is in policy. Don't get me wrong though, it's scary that this is even being talked about. The Dems still blame Facebook for 2016. This could snowball into a bipartisan effort. We can only hope that inevitable infighting will stop them from succeeding.
