For the year I've been on Poal, I have noticed that most posts that get comments have just one sentence comments and sometimes they're not even complete sentences. This makes the engagement seem very low energy. Why isn't there more in depth commentary and discussion?

The posts he is referring to definitely aren't wit. They are just trash submissions with no real purpose.
