I was really proud of my Alpha badge. I have 3 backup hosts already I've been deplatformed already once. Trust me I got this.

I know what can happen I watched it happen to other places I would be stupid not to learn from that.

Relying on the charity of others is the only way I see something like this working not one place has tried it long term before that I know of. Voat didn't take donations for a long time.

Me personally even if I get depressed or something like that I have a partner that will step in and pick up the slack and vice versa.

Voat was my home for a long time, I ran traditionalmen and traditionalhusbands. I cared about it a lot it got me and my wife redpilled then when I saw it start to fail I said someone needs to stand up so I did. Then a fuck ton of people stood up behind me.

I believe those people care and I believe none of us are going to quit. If we need more help we will get it. If we need more money we will ask. If we need someone to just talk us through a hard day we will ask. We are human beings but we believe in free speech.

We are not quitting everyone who has been here a while knows I'm not perfect but they know damn well I'm not ever quitting. Its just not in me.

Edit: I know no man is an island.

Then why not put effort into a Decentralized Client, like Aether, which is immune to all of these issues, instead of yet another HTTP hosted site? Instead people keep putting so much effort into something that can be jerked out from under them today, tomorrow, or 5 minutes from now.

Decentralized technology is not finished because look at TOR, how many exit nodes are compromised? Last I checked it was over 80%, that is why.

There is less chance for poal to be jerked around because of who I am and what I believe and how I've planned for 3 years than anything else I've found and believe me I've looked.

Aether specifically has the problem of disk space just to name a jumping off point. Time to sync everything long term it has problems for the same reason bitcoin does. I'm not buying a cup of coffee with bitcoin for the same reason I'm not asking someone on Aether what I'm supposed to do with the duck liver heart and lungs I'm about to ask poal about. Its a matter of usability.

Browser based is the most accessible to the most people. End of story.

Of course, thus it's the main point where they can exert control. No one said freedom was easy.

Now excuse me while I go install Chrome so I can browse Facebook.

Thanks, man.

No problem, I’m not sure why you are thanking me though.

Sounds like a lot of work for a bunch of whiny bitches. I'm just happy to have a place to share information. That's why.
