Keeping the tradition of "Fuck You" as an option strong, I like it

the 'fuck you' option appear automatically. I didn't want it.

The better way to think about this would be:

Leftwing and rightwing are two halves of a dialectic meant to push you toward transhumanism. So the answer would be 'neither' I guess, with a caveat.

I'd probably go even further and say that it's beyond human action/belief/intervention. Some people recognize it, and that's all.

Isn't cybernetically linking all human consciousness the ultimate form of collectivism?

I think that would be the Leftist part of the dialectic. It's very doubtful that this will be the reality, but it represents the Leftwing version of that reality. This 'collective' idea is kind of the hipster notion that has been popular on Joe Rogan, and with Elon Musk promoting Neurolink: linking together consciousness for simultaneity of experience and instantaneous communication. It's nonsense.

Just remember, when you are thinking about the world and what it seems to be presenting you, you're in the middle of a dialectic - at least as it concerns the popular culture. There is always a thesis and an antithesis. The Leftist thesis of transhumanism will be extremely collective.

Now imagine what a fascist/conservative technological future looks like.

Then try to figure out where they really want you, by thinking about where you could be being pushed as you are looking at the two apparent alternatives.

Inherently dystopian, nothing good will come from the concept.

Inherently? No, will it be the left that embraces it? Absolutely. The right will have a predisposition to genetic engineering unless we spend this decade eschewing it like fools.

Cybernetic transhumanism is essentially death, you can argue it is a greater evolutionary leap than we could achieve with human genetic engineering but I think the responsible path leans heavily on human genetic engineering and lightly on elements of transhumanism from both genetics and cybernetics but brain linking through technology is the greatest mistake we could make.

Technology will never be as secure as biology.
