There are many forms of entertainment, and everyone has their preferences. If you play the sport yourself, or know someone who does then it goes a long way towards help you enjoy watching the sport, but it's still essentially entertainment. Unless you gamble, that's a whole different thing. I would suggest there are many things, such as movies and sports, that are considered entertainment but that are not similar beyond the spectator aspect. Is a novel entertainment? Certainly, but the experience of reading the book vs. watching that book as a movie are vastly different.
