The UI/UX on Poal might have been better before more frequent content was showing up, but the Voay influx has shown the UI's weaknesses. I had to write a new User Script to fix many of the UI/UX issues and add some enhancements I enjoyed on Voat that are sorely lacking here on Poal. Something simple like hovering over a username and getting an account age and some other voting vital statistics should be part of Poal's base functionality. I had to add that functionality myself since I like to see account ages on users I don't recognize or are suspicious of.
Another feature I will need to add is user tagging and votes given. This helps me identify the users I have things in common with by the flair that they get tagged with. This wasn't a native Voat feature, but it was part of the Amateur Voat Enhancement suite (browser extension) that was similar to the Reddit Enhancement Suite which added a bunch of bells and whistles to the site. I will probably add this feature myself soon, but I miss it already. At least I have my Qtard detector and spam site flair working right now so that helps.
But yeah, Poal, and too a lesser extent Voat, both needed more useful functionality in their UIs instead of snow or other slightly amusing/annoying things. If Poal won't add it, I will add it myself for myself. It really does help my browsing experience become more efficient and pleasurable.
These are good suggestions, maybe poal can improve and add these functions
