We are even lucky we can archive Voat. Back when Putt had Voat locked down and you needed to be logged into view it, some awesome person setup an account for the archive site (camfex).

Voat was significantly better prior to then though.

Yes archiveability is great. But prior to that it's downtimes were rare. The error screen was rare. There were no upvote/downvote issues etc. etc. etc.

Voat was ruined by opening it up to be publicly visible and further by opening up registrations.

Yes, spammer. Kind of sad how one of the things that made Voat great, was also one of its bigger drawbacks. No janitors meant less risk of a sub getting taken over by a leftist infiltrator, but also meant we had to deal with spammers and degenerates posting degenerate shit.
