Dead people
I suppose Kim Jong Un, at least until trump showed up.
At the other end of the spectrum, the richer (and more powerful) you get, the less you have to compromise.
A hermit that lives in the woods away from society that never interacts with anyone.
I suspect everyone has to compromise, just a question of degree and frequency. I'm old, and a recluse, so no one is the boss of me, hence the compromises I have to make are few and far between, but if I thought hard enough I'm sure I could come up with a few.
Human civilization would not function without it. I personally have mixed feelings about it. We all do it but it grates on me in some ways. I would like to be me without reservation. I bit my tongue a lot at dinner last night right? Maybe talking about the tapeworm was poor form but I was civil if weird. Prioritization of others comforts who matter to you supersede your own wants. If I was a capable man of solid inner character I would retreat to the woods and never see people again. Here I am though. Reality does not match wants.
I do think that great change and change for the good of man has been brought about by uncompromising men. But on a small scale compromise is one of the only things that keeps us afloat.
