Well, I get the sense this is/was a rather niche community, and the Sub of the Day is probably just picking a random Sub each day and isn't based on how active that Sub is.

I take back my concern that this place may actually have been created by a big corporation for god-knows-what reason. No big corp would write shitty code like that.... not even if they were trying to look small.
