You are assuming Rittenhouse has only been charged with state level crimes.
So far he has only been charged with state level crimes. AFAIK there have been no violations of any federal statutes.
Maybe he can’t do it for legal reasons (and thank you for pointing that out). But Trump could make a statement and heavily lean on people to get it done.
