what? but I like tv, i watch a lot of it. since we got netflix i have been watching witcher, away, discovery, dirk gently, gilmore girls and a few others also amazon prime and a few tv shows i can access as regular downloads from german pbs stations

i have not seen that when i ran on tv in the early 2000s but i got recently into it after we got Netflix and I started watching

Pi3 with Librelec / Kodi and a 4TB network share filled with woke free movies (including old classics) and old TV shows.

i am from germany and we have a lot of free movies you can download from PBS stations (ard and zdf), so I have a lot of tv shows like Babylon Berlin on my HD now

I tried Librelec on my pi3 and it ran kind of slow are you overclocking the pi?

It runs on default settings.

Don’t try h265, it runs like sheeeit.

ok, i am using that as a fallback when the firetv player is not working, but then I have to run the HDMI cable to the tv first

HDMI from laptop to tv is what I am doing, I had to make the tv my pain screen so it stops the laptop screen lighting up unless I unplug the laptop from the tv then it works like normal laptop. edit I also have a mouse and keyboard plugged in so I can control it all from the couch.

It was way better circa 2012 its gone down hill since. You can't even really use it offline anymore. You can but they don't make it easy.

mac mini running plex home theater connected to my plex server/streaming websites.

Used to run the plex client on a raspberry pi but I just haven't set it back up yet.

I'm considering dropping plex in favor of a different system but I haven't found one I like better yet.

Emby server on a desktop network share plays on most device with a browsers. There’s a fire TV app android iOS etc.
