I think you mean idioms.

They are the native equivalent.

There are no question or exclamation marks in Asian languages:

(ma - 吗) is the interrogative particle that you put at the end of a sentence to turn it into a question.

(you mei you - 有没有 - have not have) is also used in questions.

(a ya - 阿呀 - Ah Ya! and o - 哦 - Oh!) are used as surprise, exclamation.
