I posted a video of today's Trump's speech to s/news. It was moved to s/politics. To me, doing so was a statement that Trump's data was merely political theater, not factual.

It's a post about Trump and political fraud, so it belongs in .

Now if it was about Trump talking about his businesses (resorts, golf clubs...) then it would fit in .

Like I tried to explain you in a previous PM, we are trying to keep 'default' subs organized.

The reason why we have is to keep for more general news.

Politics and treason are very different things.

And wow, this is now flagged as answered. Nothing to see here folks, move right along..Big Brother knows best.

personally i think you guys are taking the organization thing too far

this news is clearly news

it is also clearly politics

who are you to decide?

and why would you want to?

this subjective organization thing was a bit of a turn-off when i first came here

Admins are in charge of default subs.

and why would you want to?

lol, because without it, poal would be a mess and there's no point having default subs if everything gets posted everywhere.

18 days ago. And you seem to have forgotten our discussion regarding spam. Yet your posts to the same domain are still there.

i didn't realize you admin /news, not that this changes anything - the poster thought their post was news, you didn't - what makes you right and them wrong?

People can always click on 'All' in the top bar to bring up recent or trending posts across the site. So, if a post gets moved between subs, it's still hanging out on the site chronologically.

That exactly right.

The problem is those who complain have been sticking with the idea (that they got from other places) that posts get hidden and see their moved posts as a punishment (when it's totally not the case).

Moving posts (around default subs) has helped poalrs with visibility and we've received lots of positive feedback thanking us for helping discover new subs they weren't aware of.

The other problem is no matter how hard you'll try to help, you'll always have some with a huge ego taking it the wrong way, ending up in useless non-productive drama.

Happens once or twice a year. That one was overdue. ;D
