I'm a grown man with the cooking skills of a 18 year old Freshman. Seriously, my wife cooks everything that isn't grilling or breakfast. Before I was married, if I didn't have a girlfriend to cook for me it was crock pot, restaurant, or microwave food. I've eaten enough ramen, frozen pizzas and whey protein that I won't need embalming when I die. I have no sense for it, and it just seems like a burden.
I can't function if my surroundings aren't orderly. No joke, I had a girlfriend in college who was a fucking slob (great sex though) I used to clean up her dorm. She thought I was just being sweet. Nope; I could not think straight when she had half her closet on the floor. "Is that s surface? Let's put a bunch of random shit on it so I don't know where anything is... herp derp".
If you give it a shot casseroles are really easy and very awesome. I never used to cook anything and then I looked up a few recipes for casseroles online and got some from family and now I'm a master. You just need a good casserole dish for the oven. Cheap. Also you can use them to make sheppard's pie. One of my favourite things to make is cheeseburger sheppard;s pie
Shepard's Pie is delicious.
