It's been the greatest show on Earth for two weeks. I haven't followed every detail or every boring floor vote and speech, but I've seen quite a bit. IMHO it's a great show of where we stand in America today, the sane verses the insane. Kinda fun.
I''m watching it live right now, nothing happening right now but two senators have already spoke one in support of and one against.
I was just reading your comment in an earlier thread ... agree, we're seeing entertaining stuff from the crazies.
Fingers crossed.
when it gets closer to 5PM eastern, yeah I'll see it
just to crack a beer and say
Thanks for reminding me I need to go get some beer before then.
No T.V. here but i don't understand why everyone loves this guy his wife and himself worked for bush
I personally don't love the guy, but I despise the tactics used to try and stop his confirmation. I don't even like him really but we can't let people weaponize sexual assault claims and get away with it or innocent until proven guilty is officially dead.
That's the only reason I can point as to why I supported him. Which is a real shame because I had to form that opinion without any consideration of any of his decisions or legal briefs he's put out. I got so wrapped up in the bs that I didn't even bother to find out where he stood on citizens united, rights of privacy...thoughts on tech and the law...a slew of state's rights issues... Nope. we got to hear about how maybe a long time ago he did something that can't be proven.
I only now realize the democrats had no intention of actually stopping this guy. They only needed it to look that way.
Well what do you think they were trying to do then? If not stop him that is.
